Hey! I’m Regina from the Philippines. I am a new teacher here at Best Teacher. Currently, I live in Mongolia with my family, working as an English teacher.
こんにちは、フィリピン出身のレジーナです！ベストティーチャーに新しく加わりました。現在は家族とモンゴルに住んでいて、小、中学校で英語教師として働いています。

Have you been to the Philippines? I live in Laguna. It is a province near Manila. We are famous for the theme park, Enchanted Kingdom! It is like Disneyland in the Philippines.
フィリピンに行ったことはありますか？私の故郷はマニラの近くの州、ラグナという場所です。”Enchanted Kingdom”というディズニーランドのような有名なテーマパークがあります。

We also have a beautiful mountain named Maria Makiling. Legends say that this mountain used to be a female guarding the mountain. If you look at the shape of the whole mountain, it looks like a female resting on her side.
また、「マリア・マキリン」という名の美しい山もあります。伝説によると、かつて女性が山を守っていたと言われており、山全体の形を見ると、女性が横になって休んでいるように見えます。

Our province is famous for different foods like buko pie, ube halaya, and okoy.
私の故郷は、ブコパイ、ウベ・ハラヤ、オコイといったさまざまな食べ物が有名です。

I am a graduate of Bachelor of Arts Major in Psychology. When I graduated, I realized that I wanted to teach so I took units in Education, took a licensure exam, and started my teaching journey in 2013. I was able to teach different levels of students ranging from preschool to high school.
私は心理学専攻の学士号を取得しました。卒業後、教職に就きたいと思い、教育学の単位を取り、資格試験を受け、2013年に教職の道を歩み始めました。幼稚園から高校まで、さまざまなレベルの生徒を教えることができました。

These experiences were of big help for me to learn more about the different classroom management skills needed to have a well-shaped class and improve myself as an educator.
これらの経験は、様々なタイプの生徒に対して安心して学べる環境を提供するスキルを学び、教育者としての自分を成長させる大きな糧となりました。

Teaching has helped me expand my creativity because I try different ways to ensure that my students understand the lessons I am teaching. This career has molded me to be a better educator and a much more patient individual.
私が教えている授業を生徒が理解できるように様々な方法を試しているので、教えることは私の創造性を広げるのにとても役立っています。このキャリアのおかげで、私は人としても成長でき、より忍耐強い人になれたと思います。

Being a parent has made it difficult for me to have a hobby. However, if I have time for myself, I love watching movies and vlogs. I prefer inspirational and family-oriented movies. Sometimes, I’d enjoy romantic and comedy movies, too.
親になったことで、趣味を持つことが難しくなりましたが、自分の時間があれば、映画やブログを見るのが好きです。感動的な映画や家族向けの作品がお気に入りで、時々、ロマンチックな映画やコメディ映画も楽しみます。

To improve my English skills, I try to read books. I am a fan of the stories of Mitch Albom, most especially “For One More Day” and “The First Phone Call from Heaven.” How about you? Do you like to read books?
