Hello! I'm Mary. I hail from the Philippines. I currently reside in Dipolog City, which is well-known for its wild orchids, sardine industry, and the longest boulevard in Mindanao. The boulevard has become the haven for the locals who want to unwind, eat good food, and engage in an array of outdoor activities, especially during sundown.

I relocated to my hometown before the pandemic, which I may say was the best decision I made. Living in my hometown is incomparable as I get to breathe fresh air and be in touch with nature at any time, which I craved while living in a big city.
私はパンデミックの前に自分の故郷に戻りました。都会の喧騒から離れ、新鮮な空気を吸い、いつでも自然と触れ合うことのできるこの場所に移住したことは、私の人生の中で最善の決断でした。
My love for English began in primary school. I had the privilege of meeting a passionate English teacher. Her eloquence when speaking fascinated me. This fascination led me to expose myself to more reading materials and influenced my choice of college major. In college, I pursued a degree in Elementary Education majoring in English. In fact, my studies took place at a Catholic school system in my hometown.
英語を好きになったのは、小学生のころです。素晴らしい先生と出会い、先生が英語を話すときの雄弁さに魅了されました。この魅力にとりつかれた私は、多くの読み物に没頭し、それは大学での専攻の選択にも影響を与えました。結果、地元の大学に進学し、初等教育の学位を取得しました。
I started my career as an English teacher in Manila more than ten years ago, which allowed me to teach students of different nationalities and ages with different levels of English proficiency. Sharing my knowledge with my students gives me a sense of accomplishment. Apart from my career as an English tutor, my family and I operate a small online business, which helps provide extra income.
10年以上前にマニラで講師としてのキャリアをスタートさせ、国籍、年齢、レベルの異なるたくさんの生徒に英語を教えてきました。自分の知識を生徒と共有することは、私に大きな達成感を与えてくれます。また、英語講師としてのキャリアとは別に、小さなオンラインビジネスも運営しています。
Nowadays, when I have spare time, I tend my small garden and take walks along a boulevard. The sights of my veggies and plants flourishing and catching glimpses of the beautiful sunset while walking on the promenade give me an incredibly peaceful feeling. These activities not only refresh me but also enable me to forget my everyday worries.
最近は、時間があれば小さな庭の手入れをしたり、散歩したりしています。 遊歩道を歩きながら、野菜や植物が生い茂る光景、そして、美しい夕日を眺めると信じられないほど穏やかな気持ちになるんですよね。リフレッシュできるだけではなく、心配事も忘れさせてくれます。
