I am a lover of cultures, languages, life, people, and travel. Coming from a diverse country, I enjoy immersing and learning about other cultures. My curiosity became the light on becoming a world citizen. I can speak seven languages, and I am working on reaching fluency in 10 languages soon. One thing I have learned about languages is that they are all interconnected in some way but have different meanings. Let's take the word "gogo." In Japanese, this means "afternoon," but in isiZulu, it means "grandmother."
私は、文化、言語、暮らし、人々、そして旅を愛する者です。多文化な国出身の私は、他の文化に浸り、学ぶことを楽しんでいます。私の好奇心は、”world citizen”となるための灯火となりました。私は7カ国語を流暢に話すことができますが、近々10カ国語になるように努力しています。言語を勉強してきて学んだことのひとつは、「言葉」はすべて何かしらのかたちで関連してますが、異なる意味を持っているということです。例えば、"gogo"という言葉、日本語では 「午後(ごご)」という意味ですが、イシズール語では "おばあちゃん"という意味です。

I live in Durban, a city in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa, known as the "warmest place" all year long, has the best sunsets, and has the world's 5th largest aquarium - Ushaka Marine World. The "Mother City," Cape Town, is famous for Table Mountain, picturesque beaches, and Robben Island.
私が住んでいるダーバンは、南アフリカのクワズール・ナタール州にある都市で、1年中「最も暖かい場所」として知られています。また、最高の夕日を見ることができ、世界で5番目に大きな水族館「ウシャカマリンワールド」があります。首都のケープタウンは、テーブルマウンテン、絵のように美しいビーチ、そしてロベン島で有名です。

However, be warned, the beaches are beautiful but icy cold. If you are a surfer, Jeffery's Bay in the Eastern Cape has the best waves. The Johannesburg Sandton Area is the wealthiest square mile in Africa and great for lovers of the hustle and bustle of Tokyo and New York. If you love shopping, the Mall of Africa in Midrand is the biggest in South Africa. If you want to experience the safari life, the Kruger National Park has the Big Five – Lion, Buffalo, Rhino, Leopard, and Elephant.
ただし、ビーチはとても美しいですが、水は氷のように冷たいのでご注意を。もしあなたがサーファーなら、東ケープ州のジェフェリーズ・ベイがおすすめです！最高の波に乗れますよ。ヨハネスブルグ・サントン地区はアフリカで最も裕福なエリアで、東京やニューヨークの喧騒が好きな人には最高です。ショッピングが好きなら、ミッドランドにある南アフリカ最大のモール・オブ・アフリカ、サファリライフを体験したいなら、ライオン、バッファロー、サイ、ヒョウ、ゾウのビッグファイブがいるクルーガー国立公園がおすすめです。

My favourite animal is the fastest land animal – a cheetah, which also happens to link to my favourite childhood Disney movie franchise – The Cheetah Girls. When I am not watching movies and series, I like listening to podcasts. My favourite podcast right now is The Basement with Tim Ross.
私の好きな動物は、陸上で最も速い動物であるチーターで、これは、私が子供の頃に好きだったディズニー映画の「チーター・ガールズ」とも関連しています。映画以外では、ポッドキャストを聴くのが好きです。今は、ティム・ロスの「The Basement」が一番好きなポッドキャストです！

There's an African Proverb that says "umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu." Loosely translated, it means that "a person is a person through other people." I am a master's candidate in Consumer Science, which I affectionally call "the study of people's needs and wants." I live my life recognising the humanity of others by being involved in philanthropy work. There's so much hurt and pain in the world, and it costs nothing to be kind to someone. That is why I share hope wherever I can, and it is evident in all I do.
アフリカのことわざで、"umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu "というのがあります。簡単に訳すと、"人は他人がいるからこそ人である "という意味です。私は消費者科学の修士課程に在籍しており、「人々のニーズや欲求を研究する学問」と親しみを込めて呼んでいます。また、慈善活動に携わることで、他者の人間性を認めながら生活しています。世界には多くの傷や痛みがありますが、誰かに親切にすることは、何のコストもかかりません。だからこそ、私はできる限り希望を分かち合い、それが私の行動全てに表れているのです。

When I teach, I create a safe space and environment for my students to be comfortable speaking English and gain confidence. I encourage my students to grow by allowing spontaneity so that conversations are as natural as possible. My experience in life coaching, leadership training, customer service, and community teaching has allowed me to have a well-rounded approach to lessons.
