Welcome back! How was your trip?

My husband and I traveled to Antelope Canyon and Monument Valley which located in the northern part of Arizona. It took about 6 hours by car from home. That was my first time to go there, so I was exited. We were participated in two tours and Navajo people guided us. Navajo is one of the biggest native American tribes and they run tours around Navajo area for tourists. During the tour, they told us lots of their culture and histories.

That was a long drive. Did you enjoy the trip? I am sure you learned a lot about Navajo culture and history.

I didn't know that there is a genetical link between Japanese and Navajo people because their ancestors came from the Asian continent. Navajo's newborns have Mongolian blue spots at their buttocks and almost all Japanese newborns also have them.

1. 'genetic' is the correct word to use.
 2. As you are talking about a group of people the possessive form isn't necessary.
3. The preposition 'on' shows where the spots are.
4. The comma (,) is added to separate the clauses.
Why were you disturbed by that genetic link? I thought you would be happy. Which of the two tours did you enjoy more?

I mean the news about genetic link made me happy. So I seem they closer to me than I expected. We were participated in two tours then. One was a hiking tour at lower Antelope Canyon area, that's view was amazing. Other one was a sunrise tour at Monument Valley. I enjoyed the latter more. Because Navajo tour guide took us lots of important areas for Navajo and he shared us a lot about their culture more.
