自己紹介
I obtained a theater and public speaking degree in 2006 from Oklahoma State University. In 2007, I moved to Los Angeles, California. I worked various jobs in the entertainment industry including stage managing and costuming at Universal Studios Hollywood. I coached various public drama clubs from elementary to adults, and judged at regional theater contests in Los Angeles from 2009-2019. I also managed a children’s book department at a major bookstore from 2007 to 2011 and hosted story time events and book release parties. I then worked in the entertainment insurance industry from 2011 to 2019. I obtained a TESOL/TEFL certification in 2018 and came to Japan on the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program (JET program) in 2019. I worked as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) in a Japanese high school from 2019 to 2024. I taught English as a Foreign Language and coordinated cultural exchange activities at a public arts magnet school in Iwaki, Fukushima. I developed curricula and created all primary instructional materials for all my classes; utilizing task-based learning and cultural understanding. I led extracurricular EIKEN test tutoring and interview preparation. From 2019 to 2025, I coached and mentored multiple first-place contestants, and second to sixth-place award-winning contestants in the original submission category of the Fukushima Prefectural English Speech Contest, and 2023 first-place contestants in the Fukushima Prefectural English Presentation Contest. I am currently teaching at an English Conversation School (Eikaiwa) in Nagano City, Nagano. This school focuses on the Canadian English teaching curriculum and EIKEN, TOEFL, TOEIC proficiency test preparation. I teach students from infants to adults, with particular focus on early learning in preschool and kindergarten.

大学では、演劇・スピーチの学位を取得しましたが、幼少期から日本文化（漫画や歴史）に興味があったことから、TESOLの資格を取得し、2019年に来日し、学校で英語を教え始めました。現在は、長野県で英会話講師として働いています。趣味は、ハイキング、裁縫、カラオケで歌うこと、アニメ鑑賞、旅行をすることだそうです。簡単な日本語を話し、理解できるので、気さくに話しかけてくれながら、しっかり丁寧に教えてくれます。
