自己紹介
Greetings! My name is Cristina and I am a second year PhD student in English literature, holding both an MA in British Cultural Studies and one in Irish Studies. I have completed a module in ESP (English for Special Purposes) during my MA studies, which has enabled me to work as a freelance translator for PhD students in History and Stomatology. I have recently completed a five-month Erasmus mobility in Lisbon (Portugal) and am currently living in Cork (Ireland) so I am at once very sensitive to cultural differences and very interested in helping others expand their horizons through conversation.
If you are interested in academic tutoring, help with writing or improving your critical readings skills, my experience includes editing work for the Metacritic Journal of Comparative Studies and Theory, as well as research in my capacity as a member of the Ekphrasis Transdisciplinary Centre for Transdisciplinary, Liberal Arts and Creative Technologies Research.
I am also a certified nonformal trainer as of March 2015 and have participated in 2 Erasmus+ projects as a facilitator, so no reasons to fear dry, teacher-centred lessons. If anything, what I believe in is CBI or content-based instruction. Basically, we will learn together by tackling exactly the topics that intrigue you!
