運動会は小学校や中学校で楽しまれる行事です。日本人にとっては馴染みのある行事ですが、海外ではとても珍しいイベントです。海外では陸上スポーツを競うイベントはありますが、写真の玉入れをはじめ、大玉ころがしやパン食い競争などは日本固有の競技です。外国人の友人に日本の文化について紹介をしてあげる機会があったときには、日本の運動会を説明してあげるとよいかもしれません。
