休暇を取りたいことを伝えよう

Asking for a one week vacation

Hi, what can I do for you?
#miss

Sorry to interrupt your work. I'd like to take a paid vacation for three days in next week. My mother has been in the hospital since yesterday so I need to go there and meet her.
Would you give me a permission?

Hmm. . . that'll be difficult because we have the project this month. Have you already told your coworkers that you will be taking the rest of the week off?
#miss

Not yet because I thought I should ask about it to you at first. I know we're very busy having the project and I'm so sorry about that. Well, I'd like to talk to my coworkers about this issue and try to do my task on this weekend.

You should definitely go see your mother, so take the next three days off. If you can arrange with your coworkers to finish the project while you're gone, you don't have to work during the weekend. Does that sound reasonable?

Thank you for being so considerate. I appreciate it.
I'll arrange the task regarding the project and once I come back, I'll do my best to get back my absence. Thank you again, I'll call my mother to tell her that I can come and see her!
