I cook by myself every day, and I really enjoy it! Do you cook?
#good

Yes, I do. I cook for my family every day. I usually pack lunch boxes for my husband and my son before breakfast. It is a little demanding but I enjoy it.

Yes, I love cooking. I do it daily for the love of my family. Before breakfast, I pack lunch boxes for my husband as well as for my son. It's quite demanding but I enjoy it anyway.

Do you prepare a Japanese style breakfast? What's the usual lunch food that you prepare for your husband and son?
#good

We make it a rule to have Japanese style breakfast on weekdays and we have western style breakfast on weekends. I cook everything what I think it is good for lunch, for example, Japanese, Chinese, Italian or Indian style's side dishes. And I daily pack four or five kinds of side dishes and small amount of fruit, with rice.

We have unwritten house rule to have Japanese-style breakfast on weekdays, and Western-style on weekends. I cook all kinds of menu for lunch, like: Japanese, Chinese, Italian, and Indian-style side dishes. Everyday I pack four or five kinds of side dishes with some added fruits, and of course with rice.

Why do you prefer a Japanese style breakfast? I think it is more difficult to prepare than a western style breakfast..
#good

Because Japanese dishes are most familiar to us. Even tough it is a little complicated to cook, I don't think that I can live without the good old taste. Also I think that national cuisine is one of the most important culture to hand over to the young generation. It roots in our long and original cultural tradition.

We prefer Japanese breakfast because we are Japanese, we are used to it. It's quite complicated to cook but we can't live without the good old taste of our food. It is part of our national pride, we should preserve the native style of our cuisine which is integral part of our culture that must be passed on to the younger generation. It is part of our roots that can be traced to our long and original cultural tradition.

I agree with you we shouldn't forget our traditions because it's our national heritage. What is a traditional Japanese breakfast? Do you cook miso soup?
#good

You know about our cuisine very well. Yes, I do. I cook miso soup using soup stock which is made by myself every morning. Japanese breakfast basically consists of a bowl of rice, miso soup, and an accompanying dish like roast fish or fermented soy beans called natto. Sometimes we add some pieces of dried laver seaweed and Japanese pickles.

Yes, I'm good and very familiar with our cuisine. Every morning I cook miso soup using soup stock that I personally prepared. Basically, Japanese breakfast consists of a bowl of rice, miso soup, go along with dish like roasted fish or fermented soy bean called "natto." Occasionally, we add some dried edible seaweed and Japanese pickles.

It is indeed quite difficult to prepare. However, I think it is healthier than a western style breakfast.

Do you think so? Actually Japanese dishes are low in fat and they are high rate of vegetable protein. People have the diet culture that they had avoided to eat meat socially since the ban of meat diet for Buddhist monks in 675. It finished one hundred and fifty years ago, when began the modern era. Such custom might still remain in our lives.

Do you believe that? Japanese dishes are healthy and nutritious, low in fat but rich in vegetable protein. People were accustomed to this diet, eventually became part of our culture since Buddhist monks in 675 A.D. banned meat in our diet. But this dietary culture ended 150 years ago when modern era began. I believe this custom should remain.
