The reasons for studying abroad vary depending on each person. Some people want to enhance their abilities in foreign languages. Unlike in their home countries, they are encouraged to use the languages they want to learn, thereby accelerating their learning speed. By taking classes and discussing things with foreign students, they can cultivate a wide rage of skills, making it effective to study in foreign schools.
Others have different purposes. They want to deepen their expertise by taking advantage of various precious resources available. For example, some universities are famous for specific academic fields, such as foreign relations and economics, attracting many students to attend these universities. By exchanging opinions with distinguished professors and reading a lot of papers in the field of their interests, they can acquire specialized knowledge, helping expand their horizons.

I believe that the advantages of studying abroad outweigh the negative aspects, since this opportunity can be an invaluable experience for most students. During the period, they can spend most of their time studying something in foreign languages and interacting with other international students, all of which can be invaluable experiences and will have a beneficial impact on their future lives. Although some might argue that the cost of studying abroad is very high, the expertise and personal connections that students can gain are more valuable and can outweigh the disadvantages.

The Japanese government can undertake two main initiatives to make Japanese universities more attractive for international students. First, the government can prepare and offer a wider range of scholarship programs. For most foreign students, the cost of studying abroad is one of the major concerns, so reducing the burden through scholarships can lead to an increase in the number of applications from abroad. Second, the government can facilitate internship programs by cooperating with universities and private companies. This initiative can attract more prospective students, since many of them are interested in working in Japanese companies after graduation.

I think there are two main reasons. First, those who have graduated from foreign universities tend to have different and a wide range of perspectives, especially about international relations, which will be beneficial for most companies to acquire a new insight into their businesses, helping them make     further progress. Second, someone who has a foreign degree has cultivated a lot of perseverance and focus in the foreign university. These characteristics are the most important factors in working and make the individuals competent, thereby attracting many employers.

It is challenging to foresee the future popularity of studying abroad, but I believe that the number of students will remain at almost the same level.
The advent of useful technologies might reduce the importance of studying abroad. Nowadays, people can access numerous academic papers through computers and attend online classes, which makes some argue that students can learn    without going to foreign schools. However, considering our globalized world, the experiences and human connections gained during the time will definitely have a beneficial impact on individuals. Therefore, I assume that the popularity will be stable in the future.
