One of the biggest festivals named Dontaku takes place in early May in Fukuoka city. Dontaku means holiday in Dutch. Over two million people come to enjoy watching dances, fireworks and so on from all over my country. Whenever I join the festival, I feel the coming of spring.

I've heard of the name before. It's one of the greatest festivals in Washington, D.C. in America. There are so many cherry trees given by Japan in 1912. In Japan, we have a lot of festivals everywhere when cherry blossoms are in full bloom.
