契約書とは、契約を締結する際にその内容を表示する文書です。これはビジネスシーンをはじめプライベートの場面でも、保険の締結やスポーツクラブの入会等あらゆるシーンで見られます。その契約の当事者同士が作成をした旨を証明する為に、判を押したり署名を書いたりします。多くの方が悩むのは、英語の契約書に署名をする時に漢字でサインをしてよいものかということ。実は漢字で記入をしても大丈夫です。契約書において署名の目的は「本人が契約内容に賛同をしたという証を残すこと」であるので、英語の契約書だからと言って英語で書く必要はありません。
