助動詞を用いた受動態を使ってみよう

Passive Voice + an Auxiliary Verb
助動詞を用いた受動態を使って講師と会話してみましょう。
もちろん助動詞を受動態で使うこともできます。 その際には「助動詞+be+過去分詞」で表現できます。 行為の受け手に焦点があてられる表現です。 行為の主体を言う必要がない場合や、そもそも分からない時。 あまりに主体が長くなってしまう時などに効果を発揮する表現です。 【回答例】 This book can be borrowed here. この本はここで借りられるよ

These are my some examples. This test is going to be carried out next month. The application will be accepted since next week.

自然な表現

These are my examples. This test is going to be carried out next month. The application will be accepted from next week on.

1. You may say 'some of my examples' but 'some' isn't really needed.
2. 'Since' is used to mean from a point of time in the past. It's incorrect to use it to mean the future.
2.1. You may also say 'Starting next week, the application will be accepted.'
Good job! Thank you. A correction teacher will review and correct your sentences after this writing exercise. Could you write two more sample sentences using passive voice with an auxiliary verb?

These books at our office can be borrowed for free. A cup of coffee or tea can here can be drunk for 50 yen.

自然な表現

These books at our office can be borrowed for free. A cup of coffee or tea here is 50 yen.

1. When we talk about prices, we often use the verb 'be.' e.g. How much is it? A cup of tea is $12.
Very well, then. Those are some pretty good examples. Could you write down a couple of sentences that are true for you?

My hamster is given food by me every day. Nowadays my TV hasn’t work sometimes, so it has to be maintained once.

自然な表現

I feed my hamster every day. My TV needs fixing.

1. Although technically correct, it's very unnatural.
2. Also 'My TV needs to be fixed.'
That's nice. How long have you been taking good care of your hamster? Do you have to be careful when feeding it?

He has been taken care of here for one year. At least a type of vegetable for day must be given to him.

自然な表現

He has been taken care of here for one year. At least a type of vegetable per day must be given to him.

1. You say 'per day' or 'a day.'
It seems like you are taking a good care of him. Has anyone else taken care of him? What kind of vegetables are given to him?

He was bought by me, so I am responsible for his life. Especially, green vegetables help his health. For example, a cabbage, broccoli and Japanese mustard spinach. I also walk him around a room.

自然な表現

He was bought by me, so I am responsible for his life. Green vegetables are especially beneficial to his health. For example, cabbage, broccoli and Japanese mustard spinach. I also walk him around a room.

1. 'Especially' is not used at the start of a sentence before the subject.
1.1. Something that is 'beneficial' helps people or improves their lives.
2. 'Cabbage', as used here, is uncountable, Do not place an indefinite article 'a/an' before an uncountable noun.
