The Subjunctive Mood Using If
If you give me money, I will be happy. If you gave me money, I would be happy. If she asked me out, I would be say okay.

If I had known that you were in the hospital, I would have visited you.
If I had a lot of money, what do you think I would buy first of all?
If you hadn't met him, to whom do you think you would marry?
If I were you, I wound't spend so much money on such a stupid thing.
If there were a computer available here, I would send e-mail to my friend.

Wow! You have got so many ideas! When do you think its a good idea to use the subjunctive mood with "if". Do you think that there are specific times that we can use it?

When I assume something which is against a current fact about love, money, and so on, I sometimes use subjunctive mood. However, it seems to be a bit difficult for us Japanese because it needs grammatical knowledge to express ourselves correctly with using it.
