- I´m Josemaría Moreno González. I currently work as a professor of philosophy at the University of Guanajuato, Mexico.
Some of my professional achievements are:
Experience as a humanities teacher at High School level, both teaching in English and Spanish.
Experience as a philosophy professor at University level for the University of Guanajuato.
Ample knowledge of both Spanish and English languages; with experience as a translator of both languages.
My approach to teaching has always been focused on caring for the student, trying to meet his or her needs and curiosity. I believe that the student´s natural curiosity is the best lead to follow when teaching. For this matter, I try to engage students in dialogue to both learn from them and take advantage of their own background and intellectual baggage.
I have a solid background teaching in English, both English language and topic courses like philosophy, literature and anthropology.
My mother tongue is Spanish, but I studied my bachelor´s degree fully in English in San Antonio, Texas, and my Master´s degree also fully in English in Finland. I earned my Master´s degree in education and pedagogy.
I love to read and to write, but I also love good conversations and learning from my students and my peers.
